Spark and arc are the same in the casual sense to me! An arc I generally
consider a drawn item with a beginning- origin, and an end to complete the
circuit (ground or groudish). A spark I normally think of as a disappated
arc ending in air.
If a coil is adjudicated to be 96% efficient using your method and produces
an ARC of 6 feet with 10KW input.... and another deemed only 60% efficient
hits 10 feet with the same input energy, then give me the 60% unit. I am
not powering anything up off these systems! I am not looking to cohere the
zero point energy and create a new energy source. I am looking to burn
whatever of the last remaining fossil fuels to create the longest arc
possible! (Greenpeace forgive me for I no not what I do!) I want the
visual impression of longest drawn arcs for my kilowatt hour! This may or
may not be, for any specific coil, the highest efficiency use of input
energy......I accept that readily.
A good coil which is constructed by the artful hand gives good sparks for a
given energy and this is recognized by most observers (defacto) with the
only instrumentation being an AC ammeter and voltmeter on the mains input
regardless of phase angle.
