To all Colorado Springs coilers:

PIKES PEAK AMATEUR ASSOCIATION SWAPFEST

Date: Saturday, 17 May 1997, from 8 AM to 2PM. Location: Doherty High
School, 4515 Barnes Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 


Directions:

>From I-25: Take Exit 146 (Garden of the Gods.) Go East (the road name
changes to Austin Bluffs Parkway.) you will pass the University of
Colorado campus and cross Academy Blvd. Proceed about another mile to
Barnes Road and go east (Austin Bluffs Pkwy is northbound at this
point.) Doherty High School is on the right a few hundred feet from
Austin Bluffs Pkwy, just past the Skate City. 

Hourly classroom presentations, including an ARRL Field Forum. 

Colorado State Patrol Emergency Communications Van on display. 

Some of the activities include...

     Buy, sell, and trade radio, computer, and other equipment! 
     Amateur radio related seminars 
     VE Testing starts at 1000. Contact Erik Mugele, KGOXE for details
     on the testing. More to come... 



Prizes

The following prizes will be raffled off at the swapfest... 

     Icom IC-707 HF transceiver 
     MFJ-9406X 6m transceiver 
     MFJ-259 Antenna analyzer 
     Garmin GPS-40 Handheld GPS navigator 

Raffle tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5. Hourly door prizes.
Grand Prize Drawing at 2 PM. Winners need not be present to win Grand
Prize. 


Admission

Admission for the swapfest is $4.00 per person (under 18 are free) in
advance or at the door. The cost of admission also includes one raffle
ticket. 


Tables

If you are interested in selling at the swapfest you may purchase
table space - $12 for first table, $10 each additional table. (First
table cost includes admission and raffle ticket for one person)
