Hope you don't mind me dropping in on the convesation but I have used
oil
burner ignition transformers for my first coil. I have found that a
couple
of the transformers I have are either slightly bad or just off voltage.
When
you try connecting two transformers of sligthly diferent voltages in
parallel, they HAVE to be the same voltage. When they are off a little
it
has the affect of killing the output, from what I have seen anyways. I
had
no problem hooking up the other three of mine in parallel, making sure
there
outputs are in phase. If you hook it up in reverse the outputs will be
180
out of phase and that will also kill the output, and probably the
transformers.
