T>Gee your touchy! I wasn't implying that you weren't being humorous,
I was being humorous about the "touchy" part, too.
I guess I'd better work on my act.
T>just that it seemed like you were jumping on the poor boy a bit too

No way. I knew what I was doing. (When something

The 200-ft. (length -?) coil is urban legend on this
List and was the subject of several threads circa a
year ago (check the archive?).
Essentially one poster (who is otherwise prolific
and sometimes even knowledgeable) claimed to have
produced such a coil commercially. Yet no photos
or other documentation seems to exist. Several
other frequent contributors to the List dispute
the existence of such a coil. (I'm refraining
from naming names lest I err -- perhaps others
will chime in on this).

T>> T>>meant was if this neon transformer was used properly as in a well
T>> T>>designed Tesla coil it would possibly yield 12 foot sparks. I
must
T>> T>>admit though I have never seen nor heard of anyone getting more
than
T>> T>>a 6 foot discharge from a single neon transformer {15KV/6O ma.}!
T>> T>>I would love to see the design that would yield a 12 foot

T>Frankly I agree, but there were a few individuals in the TCBA that
T>claimed 65 to 72 inch sparks off of 1 900 watt neon transformer.
T>Frankly I would like to see it. The best I ever got from 1 900 watt
T>neon transformer was about 3 feet, now with 2 in parallel I've gotten
T>a bit over 6 feet. BTW whats the deal on this 200-ft. coil, I don't
T>think I heard about this one yet.
