there is a program called "gzip" that will take care of ".z" files if
that is 
the archieve format you are seeing - some of the "RQ" files from the ftp
site 
were in that format - I believe the gzip program is on the same site - 
otherwise, do an altavista search for gzip and see what you find.

 WinZip also has it's own page at http://www.winzip-dot-com.  Very nice
program.
