I have been requested on numerous occasions to make coils for folks and
consistently refuse. A few of them offered me big bucks to make 'em
one, too.

I don't have the time for the fit and finish a lot of folks demand. I
just
make 'em work and move on to the next experiment. I have a hard enough
time
building them for myself much less some Tesla dweeb wanna-be who has
five
thumbs on each hand and a pocket full of cash.

Also it's a matter of liability and insurance. You put your neck in a
noose
if you build and some dork kills himself, his kids, or someone elses
kids.
In many states, you can't even use a signed legal release waver to avoid
civil prosecution for injuries. (something about the idoit who killed
himself can't legally sign over his right to health and happiness or his
ability to support his family, etc.)

All who would build coils for profit.....beware of the impending
litigation.
Lawyers would lick their chops over a case where a smoldering body of a
three year old was caught in a Tesla arc on video. Heck, even if some
nebish gets a slight shock, he can say that he has been unable to work
for
the past year due to nervous system problems and muscle spasms ever
since he
was hit by that lightnin' thang! Who is to say he is wrong or lying.
The
civil jury just sees you as a perveyor of unsafe and senselessly
wreckless
lightning machines which serve no real purpose of God's green earth!
The
poor plantiff was led to believe that all this was fun and safe, and was
hurt for his belief in you and your infernal machine. $2,000,000
awarded
for real injury and loss of income.
