David, I was in the same place before! I had a 9kv-at-30ma and was getting 15 inch sparks but wanted more. I went ot a 12kv-at-60ma transformer and got 31 inches. For that particular machine that was good enough for me. I would suggest just paralleling the 2 12kv trannys together and not all 4. Matched transformers seem to work best for ganging and I don't think the 9kv trannys will like being ganged up with 12kv!
