Hello all,
            Some more info on the twin mini-system:
The supply is drawing 33W at the wall plug. DC input from the 
variable SMPS to the inverter is 28W. The output of 20W stands.
    I disconnected the earth lead from the junction at the bottom of 
the two resonators and they do play together nicely. However, there 
is, as the astute will have noticed, a small tuning imbalance and 
that showed up as a slightly stronger output with the earth connected 
and also a 1/2" arc from the centre-connected bases and the ground 
lead. The coils were attaching at 4.5" about 1/4 of the time when I 
set the system up this morning.
