Subject: 80 mil dielectric -at-15KV

When I first set out to build a TC, I was planning on using a pair of
10KV OBIT's to power it. As such, I built a rolled poly capacitor using
80 mil dielectric in oil. I have since aquired a 15KV/30ma Neon, much
nicer looking and easier to mount. I have not yet finished building
everything else so I'm still several weeks away from 1st power up, but
after re-reading several posts from the archives, am wondering how my 80
mil dielectric will stand up to 15KV. I'd hate like hell to see it
toasted!

Has anyone else on the list had actual experience, good or bad, with an
80 mil (or less)/15KV combination? On a variac -at-120%? If so, how were
your gaps set?
