Ed and all,

A book that inspired me when I was a kid (a LONNGGG time ago...) was
"Boy Electrician" by Alfred Morgan. This title is available through
Lindsay's, and has "how-to" instructions for building motors, induction
coils, a Tesla Coil, etc, It's written in a manner that kids can
understand, and is a great read, even now!
