I do hope that you will consider posting construction details on this
one - 811A's seem to be readily available, as are microwave transformers.
It would be an ideal beginners project - particularly if it would operate
with a pair of tubes rather than 4.

The 811A is specified for 1500 volts and a microwave transformer puts
out what 2000 volts + (?) . Are you using AC and letting the tubes do
the half wave rectifying?

Sounds like a great project.
