That's only because the prescribed calculations are not generally
realizable in an analytic form. If someone gives you an analytic
formula, it MUST be an oversimplified expression. Numerical solutions
are certainly possible, but must be done for each individual situation.
And, until we know what's going on with the plamsas surrounding the
terminal, even these solutions will be approximate.
