All,

I've been rebuilding a 12kv/60ma neon and using polyester
resin to coat and insulate the secondaries.
It makes a nice hard layer and should insulate well.

Has anyone used polyester resin to coat a secondary?
I'm sure its probably not as good as epoxy from a RF dissipation
standpoint but is it any worse than polyurethane varnish?

A local discount house house tons of this stuff cheap
and if it would work OK on a secondary I would like
to try it.
