My experience has been a 10 amp is the minimum.  While a 15-30 will draw
only about 3 or 4 amps, you'll probably be throwing another transformer on
it in the virtually inevitable quest for more power :-)  I now use only 20
amp or greater, but have always had good luck with the 10 amp one that I
own.
