note that the square root of 2 factor mentioned in the post below for
RMS to 
peak only applies if the waveform is sinusoidal.

RMS stands for "Root Mean Square"  to find it, take your peak to peak
voltage and multiply by .707. or take RMS voltage and divide by .707 to
get
back to the VP-P that most meters measure.
