You need dead soft aluminum (1100 or equivalent), a good
form, a powerful lathe, and lots of skill. There are lots of
local spinning shops, and one could probably get advice and
material there. Don't think they's worry about the competition!
Be forwarned, however, that rotating metal makes a mighty good
saw to remove fingers, hands, etc. Just like when the drill
in the drill press catches in the work and starts it rotating
while you are trying anxiously to turn off the power.....
