Re: tesla coil problems (fwd)

Greetings,

I decided to post this interchange with another tesla enthusiast. He just
subscribed, and has some interesting stuff for trade/sale.

Put me on your list. I would prefer to sell or trade the wire for something
like more neon sign transformers. I have 2 transformers rated 240 vac at 70
amps on the primary and 18,000 volts on the secondary. I have never used
them on a tesla coil. If I can ever get a tesla coil that works I might use
them. My coils all make small sparks. I have built several tesla coils but
none of them work like the plans say they will. I have a big one that I
built from plans i got on the internet that is supost to make 30" sparks and
I am getting 7" sparks. Now I am working on solid state tesla coil that is
supost to make 12" sparks using a car ignition coil. Do you have any
suggentions.
