Again, good advice from Richard Quick. The National Geographic
photographer blew up a new Nikon in our lab while doing the article in the
1993 Geo. I warned about such nice little CMOS based electronic toys in a
Tesla lab, but he didn't heed the advice. I use an old Nikon F body with
various lenses as needed with ASA 200 film for color and ASA 100 for B&W.
Exposures are made at about f4 to f5.6 for 4 to 20 seconds depending on
what I want in the final photo. I develop and print my own black and white
stuff. The back light is important and requires a little fiddling to get
it right.
