Optimum Wiring Material?

For the "tank" circuit (connecting the neon xfmr, cap, gap, and primary),
what would be the ideal wiring material FOR HIGHEST PERFORMANCE? 

Would the ideal choice be different for 30ma vs. 60ma neon xfmr?
