Concerning alternate toroid const.
I have a friend that has constructed circles of about 8" dia. by bending
copper tubing and connecting together on itself with a tee...
Then uses straight copper pipe from the tee to form sort a lolipop
By using several of these all arranged radially to simulate a toroid.
The straight pipe is easily variable in length..
and the cirlces can also be changed.
Seems to work very well.
