A DC TC is a sort of misnomer. It is a DC powered TC. (No AC transformer
for direct feed, but instead, a rectified and filtered supply to feed the
system.) It is the best TC one could make.
A single pulse DC TC would involve a single switch or contact closure
instead of a gap. Otherwise, all is the same.
The coil still rings down with the normal output frequency, but just one
ring or damped wave per closure.
