Charles,
No, the secondary driver coil is wound with 10 guage wire. Short and larger
diameter, but the spark to ground off of the driver into the base of the
extra coil or resonator is no more than 1 foot long. The other 8.5 feet of
spark are totally generated within the little coil.
I have sent a nice large file of detailed specs for my current magnifier
system to Chip for posting. I haven't seen them posted yet, though.
