"I have used 650 VDC with a 1.5 uF cap in a single shot pulse mode ---
repeated once every 5 seconds.
Dr. Resonance"
I have a quadrac coil driver which delivers 600 volts from a 3 ufd
capacitor into various combinations of GMHEI coils, at a maximum pulse
rate of around 100/second. More power than DR's but similar voltage.
Unless they're insulated in oil it can spark over any of them but
there's no permanent damage.
