If you really have a need for high current or precise voltage regulation,
then a Pelletron type belt is the way to go. If you just want voltage,
please note there is no gain at all of a Pelletron chain vs. a belt.
The maximum potential is determined by the geometry of the terminal and has
nothing at all to do with the type of charging mechanism.
A belt is much simplier to do and will deliver up to 2 sparks per second
with wide belts.
