This disruptive magnifier produced 80" sparks which were limited by the room's dimensions. The unit was powered by a 5kVA pole transformer, it used an adjustable ballast, and the toroid was 6" by 26". The spark gap was constructed using a 13" diameter aluminum rotor using 8 spinning electrodes and 4 fixed electrodes and powered by a 1/3 HP induction motor. The rotor was belt-driven at almost twice the 1725 rpm motor speed. The extra coil used #20 magnet wire wound on a 6 gallon plastic bucket. The 11" diameter driver secondary was wound with about 140 turns of #18 pvc insulated solid wire.
