Re: [TCML] TC STREAMERS TO FINGERS - BURNS ARE NO MYTH

I had a mole removed from my cheek once and the device the doctor used was indistinguishable from the typical hand-held "Tesla coil' leak detector, even to the sharp point! Ate up the mole in just a few seconds of intermittent application.

Yep...

Any wonder why electro-cautery units (used in surgery, etc) use RF energy?

RF burns of any kind are bad news and the streamers are pretty high
power RF! My first TC was a very small tube-powered job and the first
time I managed to get streamers I of course put a finger where they were
and got a very bad burn from no more than 15 watts or so.
