Re: [TCML] need help

Hi Terry,
How sold are you on this particular design? I ask because if it has
to be the huge ring shape, it is going to be a difficult endeavor. If you
were willing to do something much more simpler, like say a series of argon
pumped glass tubes radially from the center or the like, I can help with
that, and insurance won't be an issue at all. See this video...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0O4mb-ec_M&list=UUw16ZnyeMlRzkN2xI6AsryQ&index=1
I can make several of these for you, for reference the power supply for the
one in this video was only 30 watts, and makes an "in air" spark you
couldn't see normally it was so small. I won't make a power supply for you
as I can't do that and make it affordable to you, you'll have to do that on
your own, but since you are already considering tackling a Tesla coil, I
think you can handle that part, and if color isn't important, there are
cheap ($30) power supply alternatives. I'd of course be willing to offer
any assistance I could. At any rate depending on your budget, and how much
time you have until the show airs, this is a legitimate option to consider,
not as flashy as a true coil, but still very cool, and will catch the
attention of the audience. Please contact me off list if you are
interested in this, and we'll see if I can help you.

Scott Bogard.
