- That is equivalent to having a multi-turn primary in place and placing a physical tap point.  However, with a small coil such as the microBrute, its very easy to simply adjust turns by varying the number turns of the 12AWG provided.  This is not an easy case in a larger DRSSTC or SGTC where the primary may be made of large copper refrigeration tubing.

It is one continuous piece of wire no tap points, no cuts, no clamps.  
You just tune it by how many wraps are around the secondary.
