RE: [TCML] Bipolar Tesla Coil Designing

Cole,

There is some information on bipolar vs. monopolar about halfway through
this article you may find helpful. Several secondary coils were modeled for
the final result of figuring out the fundamental Fo. Coils ranging from 4"
to 12" diameter were "swept" to find the Fo. Seems like the Fo is usually
about 1.4 times higher than the same coil with only one top load. Read the
paragraph for more details. Normally the "current method" is used to sweep a
monopolar coil. In the case of bipolar, the "voltage method" must be used.

Subject: [TCML] Bipolar Tesla Coil Designing

Hello everyone, I have been looking through the archives and I have
not been able to find anything on a bipolar tesla coil designing
process. Does anyone have a link or plans that I could use as a base?

Thanks
