Hi James, you might want to reconsider the amount of capacitance you are using. The 0.0106uF value you are considering will give you the maximum amount of resonant voltage rise with the 15/60 transformer you will be using. This means that not only will your capacitor bank see a significantly higher than expected voltage, so will your transformer.

The way to avoid this is to use a larger than resonant (LTR) sized capacitor. The specific size depends upon the type of spark gap you are using, and the recommended capacitance value for your configuration (0.0159uF for a static gap, or 0.0277uF for a SRSG) can be figured out from either of the following sites:

Remember that even with a properly sized LTR cap, you should still consider using a "Terry Filter" between your NST and the tank circuit to help prevent RF transients from wreaking havoc with your NST, possibly leading it to an early death.
