RE: [TCML] Microwave caps

Hi Joel,

Lets see, if you series 2 (10kv) easy- .5uf*(45 caps)=22uf= 1100 Jules-
definitely a worthy ring launching, HD disk plates, or coin shrinker. Please
be very careful with this as it is absolutely lethal. Be sure to discharge
the caps a couple of times. The internal resistor will discharge them over
time.

First thing: i cannot be held responsible for anything you do with your
capacitors, but here is what i did with some of mine:

As the previous poster mentioned, id highly suggest a very sturdy enclosure
built to contain shrapnel and oil in the event that the weakest capacitor
"lets go". Pleeeeeeeease be extremely careful with these things when you
gang them up, there is some very serious energy storage. Other than that,
MOCs seemed to work great for launching rings and other Not-So-Hard-Core
pulse power stuff. Basically the caps are junk anyway, so why not have a
little fun with them for awhile? Just really keep safety in mind!!!
