haha yea. =) I was going for cheap not quality. Just something to let me know when I was getting close to blowing the breakers. =) 
I put both meters into an old computer power supply box. added a power cord and an outlet and it is perfect for what I use it for. 
If I need more accurate measurments I just disconnect the wires and substitute my nice electronic meter.

I'm sure they work just fine if you are willing to accept inherent Chinese 
quality control issues in such an important piece of equipment (jeeze that 
was a nice way of putting it even if I do say so myself). 

I'd suggest American made Simpson analog meters.
