Yes we are all on the same page now (I think). I should have caught this when you mentioned it, but got caught up in how L2 was being referred to as lower than the self inductance I was referring to. The exercise was mainly for looking at how reactance was affected and also how that plays out further down the trail. That's really what I was having fun with (and also gearing up for Javatc to predict resonant charging values). I had also looked at mutual inductance and other bits of data, but found the leakage was very dominant in these shunted transformers (makes sense since the shunts are designed for this type of regulation).
