It doesn't. This is simply an RLC simulator solving currents and decay as the original poster intended when looking at peak currents in the primary. The post which spawned this simulator was about peak currents an SISG will see. He was trying to solve for that and came across this java applet which did perform as intended and also verified the equations given. It wasn't out to show anything else. In the context of the discussion, the applet was correct (and pretty cool).
