For this reason I think the disease you are referring to is what is commonly called "Spark Gap fever" though often confused with Tungstenistis. This is a mental disease, characterized by a total mental fixation on bigger and brighter sparks, continuously speaking in an INCOMPREHENSIBLE babble to those not afflicted, (for some as yet unknown reason victims are readily understood by other victims of this terrible disease) Although not contagious in the usual sense people commonly can become afflicted through suggestion and the effects of mass hysteria when in the presence of high voltage electric fields and arcs...
Unfortunately the only cure is total isolation from all electric fields for a period of at least 2 years, and even then the victim remains sensitized and will rapidly relapse if exposed to electric fields for even a short period of time - much like a Heroin Junkie.. victims need to remain "clean" for the rest of their lives....otherwise they will become even more afflicted often with with permanent results - much to the dismay of their loved ones...
Please spread the word - it is only through awareness that this disease can be stopped and victims can return to spending their evenings on the couch with their loved ones instead of in the shed on cold nights...
