Re: [TCML] Magnetic Quenching

Speaking of these NIB magnets, I see them fairly often on eBay, and they've occasionally come up under Tesla Coil searches. I seldom, if ever, hear of anyone using them on the list. Is there any obscure use for them in various configurations (beyond the theoretical/experimental reasons stated in this thread), or do you think sellers just throw in "Tesla Coil" to increase their hits?

Neal.

Hi John,

I was wondering if anything along those lines had been tried since the
advent of neodymium (NIB) magnets. They come in just about any shape and size now,
and are dangerously powerful.
