Re: [TCML] SISG success



Does anyone know how close the SIDACs are to the to the edge? I don't have enough 5A SIDAC's for my 5 boards but plenty of 1A ones. My impression is that they might not last if the coil is a small high frequency one.

   From my experience, I'd take Terry Fritz's  "guesstimated" extrapolated
800A peak instantaneous current limit very seriously if you want the SIDACs
and IGBTs to last more than a minute.

   Of course, the "new" SIDACs and bricks might  survive more!
