Yes, .5mm (not .05mm). And yes I did take the enamel into consideration (not doing so might cause quite a surprise during that last turn).
Gareth contacted me off list about the 0.5mm wire.

Bart, I surmise you meant .5mm bare wire, right?

Your calculation of 1200 x .5 = 685,8mm for the secondary height doesn't make sense unless you have taken the enamel thickness into account.

1200 x .5 = 600mm for the bare wire size.
