No, but I use two sets of stationary electrodes  (total of four). FWIW every 
additional gap increases the effective mechanical  approach/separation speed, 
but I don't have enough experience to judge.

    Can't argue with success! But if one day your  output mysteriously 
dwindles, I'd look at your cap box for smoke first. :)
