d.c. cox is right . coppor ribbon, for a primary, has sharp edge losses. i use ,either, varnished copper tubing,or 10gauge thinn ,stranded wire. i tune primary,by cutting off,or adding 10 gauge turns. 1 or 2 turns of stranded welding cable,on medium sized coils work great.avoid uninsulated primaries, please? mike.
