As far as supporting a primary, there is a company that produces a wonderful product that is made from HDPE and pretty much preshaped for primary support. The company is Intralox in Metairie, La. what you want is the series 1800 6" Flight module in Polyethelyne. A quantity of 12 would be sufficient for even a BIG coil.

Hint... tell them that you are considering a new belt for your conveyer with flights and would be interested in trying out some of this product in a trial run for durability.
If they ask about your product...  tell them its chicken parts...

They may even send you a free sample set of 12....

why not use nylon screws?


I have to attach my primary standoffs to my acrylic base - can small metal screws > > be used for this?  The base stands on ceramic stand-offs
