Hi Gary,

For helical secondary's, I built seven. All had end caps. Never a flashover.

I suspect not much from a tally. Sonotube, some black pvc's, thin wall 
vs. thick wall, tuning, coupling, power, etc.. Too many parameters. I'm 
certainly not against internal baffles, but I can't say if it is 
necessary until I've experienced the issue myself.

Regardless of tally numbers, I would still question the setup of those 
that had a flashover. I would probably say that on most small and medium 
coils, an internal baffle is probably unnecessary. But for larger high 
powered coils, it couldn't hurt to add them in there.
