Depending on the size of your coil, say up to a 60ma input, you could use non resistor plug wires for the wires from the transformer to the spark gap. However the tank circuit will have high oscillatory currents and this wire would not be at all suited for that. You would need a larger gage wire or tubing for the rest of the circuit.

i was wondering if they could be used for HV leads?
i know that they are made for high voltages but didn't know if they could be used for our purposes as long as they are wire and not the resistor type?
