I don't know if it is valid or not. It makes for a juicy read, but before I 
jump up and down and yell "All you gotta do is make some ball lightening, 
catch some and put it in a jar, put it in your car, and you'll never have to 
buy gas again!" I'd like to know two things. 

Can the model explain the formation of the phenomena before the actual 
lightening strike, and remote from the location where the strike actually 
occurs?

Are the predicted energy levels contained in the nanobatteries even sane?
