My 14ft spinner pictures and my speculations are a bit hard to find in my site.

They show plenty of corona and 1 foot sparks.
If my ZVS 60kV DC supply (giving only 3 inch sparks) is enough to turn a 3kg mass then a TC spark of over a foot long should really have no problem or so I thought. But despite lots of corona there was no net movement. I attribute the success of small spinners and failure of large spinners to be due to the rectifying effects of small needle points giving more space charge accumulation. A large spinner has sparks much greater than a needle point and relatively less rectification and charge accumulation.
But I am really not sure, and I can think of other possibilities.

That is an interesting question....about your spinners. are you getting streamers coming from other spots on your coil? I know Tesla talked about the radius of curvature being fairly important in 'holding off' streamers and building up a higher voltage....perhaps this is coming into play with your setup. I don't know

.. and spinners? You will understand your coil better if you can
explain why my 14 foot spinner doesn't work with a TC whereas a 4
inch one does. Both work on DC 60kV.  No-one had a go at answering that
one.
