Anywhere in the mechanically oscillating ion field the detector can couple
via the near field and convert the mechanical oscillation back to EM
oscillation.  I had planned to use a flyback transformer with two capacitive
plates between the long winding (primary) and transform to a useable current
via one of the short windings (secondary).
