Before going through eBay, you might check directly with the factory in China ... here are quotes I received for three of the AC capacitors (which I presumed would be better for Tesla supplies than the DC caps you were looking at on eBay). Jessy's English is good, and can be reached at yish_mail@xxxxxxxxx

Thanks for your fast response. it's my pleasure to quote you.
For the CTU-D-3, the best price is $11.5 for per unit.
For the CTU-D-4, the best price is $16 for per unit.
For the CTU-D-6, the best price is $19 for per unit.
We will sent it by UPS, the shiping cost is total$16
Please take it into your consideration, and let me know you thoughts a soon as possible.

Regards,
JESSY

Hello,

I have 6 of the Yish 112K 50KV caps that I was going to build a multiplier
circuit with and 4 of the 202K 40KV caps. I built a different circuit to
charge my big discharge caps. They compare favorably with the TDK's I have
socked away for my future VTTC. I was surprised that they have American
threads too.

I'll sell them at a good discount if you are interested. They are brand new.
Contact me off list if interested.

Jim Mora

I don't see why these would be bad, but they could cause you to need
to retune your system if they change under 'load'. I have about 20
radio transmitter caps......they seem to work just fine.....and look
to be similar to those you are asking about. I got lucky. will
you? I sure don't know.

VTTC Coilers:

I was just wondering if these caps would be suitable
as a substitution for the TDK version that is usually
par for the course:

40%26satitle%3D7629051796%2509%26fvi%3D1

I know they are possibly more cheaply made and a risk,
but at that diminished cost, it might be worth trying.
They are supposedly Strontium Titanate dialectric.
Any thoughts?

I guess I need to compare those specs to their TDK
counterparts.
