Re: Inductance and the acceleration of charge

Original poster: Mike <megavolts61@xxxxxxxxx>

Supposedly an even better equation for inductance is this:

               17 * N^1.3 *(D +D1)^1.7
L =        ____________________________
                      (D1 + S) ^ 0.7

L = inductance in nano-Henries
N = number of turns of wire
D = inside diameter of the coil (inches)
D1 = bare wire diameter (inches)
S = space between turns (inches)

You'll have to figure THIS one out for max inductance for a given wire length if you want it done soon.
Cheers,
Mike
