Hi Anthony,

One has to wonder how much radiation is gased out on a rotary spark gap...
We are running multiple rods not just one.

Jim, Anthony,

I guess it would be best to run such thoriated rods outdoors.
The thorium makes the gaps spark more easily. To me
this seems like a disadvantage. It seems to me we'd want
the sparking to be delayed until the electrodes are very close
in order to reduce the electrical dwell time. I prefer to use
non-thoriated tungsten rods.
