How about a radio, a fluorescent light and an AC motor with copies of the
relevant patents (and Supreme Court findings for the radio) laminated to a
piece of foamcore for the background.

Add a bit of the current wars (AC v/s DC) for desert - point out that
Edison's scheme was incapable of scaling.
